Help Jason on his journey called life

The founder of GiveLife Philip Gouws who at the time of this incredible story of the tenacity and bravery of a young boy Jason Long and his uncompromising will to live, was the managing director of the retail division of apparel company Quiksilver.
He took on Jason’s cause to get treatment from a doctor in Graz Austria by initiating a fund raising campaign to make it possible.
It was as a result of an e-mail that he had received from the receptionist (a relative of Jason), which invited possible donors to the website which in essence was a pIea for help.
Philip went onto say that it really touched his heart and prompted him to do something concrete about the situation.
It was not without trepidation that he embarked on this mission as he was well aware that there are many charlatans that prey on well meaning people out of their hard-earned money who genuinely want to help. The unfortunate truth of the matter is that as a result thereof there is a huge resistance to help anyone at all.
Philip and his business partner Jethro Jewell challenged the staff and they raised R5,000 amongst themselves.
Their travel agent contributed to this cause by reducing the travel costs from R35,000 to R25,000.

Most of what is written about him refers to him as “Jason our little man” but the truth be told it is more like “Jason the mighty man”.

What can you do to be part of his journey and his destiny?
The reality that what we take so for granted like eating has been a major challenge for him. I am sure that any mother would be overwhelmed at the thought of their child not being able to eat not because of lack but purely because of a debilitating condition.
It is really quite simple do something instead of waiting for the next person to respond. There are ongoing expenses that have to be met and your donation is the difference between success and failure.
Garlicke and Bousfield Inc. have set up a trust account for Jason, specifically for medical expenses.
These expenses include any therapy that Jason may require such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, physio therapy, medical bills such as doctor, paediatrician, neurologists, physio, dietician, surplus medical accounts and his nutritional requirements such as specialised formula, pump sets, feeding tubes and other nutritional supplements. The other future expense will be schooling if he requires a special needs school.
